Software Programmer (Ref: CW-246-09)

General

We require an intermediate level software programmer to work in our Command and Control (C2) Program. The successful applicant will be a knowledgeable programmer who has a proven track record of working with minimal supervision and guidance.

The systems that will be developed include graphical user interfaces for system operators, developing and integrating various algorithms to meet specified C2 functionality, and integrating with system databases. The programmer will be expected to plan for, execute, test, and document these developments. 

Duties

The scope of work will include the following:

  • With the Application Team articulate the system requirements;
  • Plan for the development of the software artifacts specified in the software architecture;
  • Create the C2 software mentioned above;
  • Test the developed software;
  • Document the software developed above; and
  • Maintain the software development environment detailed above.

Skills

The successful candidate will require demonstrated expertise in the following software environments:

  • C or C++
  • JAVA, C#
  • ASP or ASP.net
  • HTML, CSS
  • SQL

Experience

Quallium is looking for a candidate with the following experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience (ideally mission-critical server software);
  • 2 years webpage development experience
  • Experience in documenting product development and executing unit test cases; and
  • Experience in developing software for military systems would be an asset.

Special Considerations

Security Clearance – The successful candidate will either have a Level II (Secret) security clearance from the CIISD or be able to get such a clearance.

The successful candidate will be completely fluent in both spoken and written English.
