Solar Modules

Quallium carries four brands of solar modules: Shell modules,  BP modules, SPS modules, and Unisolar modules. All of these brands meet the highest quality ratings possible.

 Shell Solar

Shell has diversified itself to be much more than an oil company. Its acquisition of Siemens Solar has made it one of  the top producers of solar modules in the world. Shell produces both single-crystal silicon and copper indium  diselenide (CIS) cell modules. These modules are grouped into three Series: SM, SP and ST. Both SM and SP series modules use single-crystal silicon cells and the ST series uses CIS cells.

The SM series solar modules are Shell’s premier class of solar modules. They feature a tolerance on the peak output power of only +/- 5% and utilize a proprietary technology called PowerMax®. This technology boasts a pyramidal textured surface that maximizes light  absorption and delivers excellent efficiency. As a result, these  modules will perform exceptionally well even under low light conditions. In addition, the modules use highly  transparent tempered glass to protect  against high impact from hail, snow, ice and storms. These modules are available in sizes 46, 50, 55, 100 and 110 watts.

The SQ series solar modules are shell’s most popular for industrial and home power systems. They feature the same PowerMax® technology and have a tolerance on the peak power of around 10%. These modules are available in sizes 75, 130, 140 and 150 watts.

The ST series solar modules boast the latest innovation in thin film technology. These cells get close performance to the crystalline silicon cells at thin film prices. They are ideal for smaller systems that require greater tolerance for shading, low light and higher  temperature conditions.

BP Solar

BP has also diversified itself from the oil business and now has a 17% share of the PV market. The Solar division is headquartered in Linthicum,Maryland with manufacturing plants all over the world. BP produces mono-crystalline,  multi-crystalline and thin film cell modules.  In order to avoid duplication, Quallium sells the multi-crystalline modules. However, all modules can be made to be available.

The large BP modules have an excellent tolerance of only 5%  on the output power. They feature a 25 year limited output warranty, ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) laminate with high transmission tempered glass, and an anodized aluminum frame. The modules are available in 65, 80, 125, 150 and 160 watts.

The small BP modules are great for small DC loads such as  charging batteries. They are very economical when a large solar panel is not required or feasible. The modules are available in 5, 10, 20, 30 and 50 watts.
